Car hire

Whenever you hire a car on holiday, it is important to get the right one for what you want to do. I remember a few years ago one of my friends was going away to Orlando with his family - all 6 of them, and he found a great deal for cheap car hire in Orlando on the internet.

The price he got was about £15 per day. He was overjoyed and booked immediately. Fast forward 6 weeks to when he arrived in Orlando after a 7 hour flight, only to find that his great deal was not so great after all. He had rented an economy car about the size of a Ford Fiesta for six people. Also, the car hire company he had used was not that reputable, and hadn't included any insurance.

He ended up having to pay an extra £600 to get the right car and insurance at the car hire office. Predictably, that was most of the spending money he had taken away with him, and his holiday was absolutely ruined.

When you book car hire, make sure you get it right first time - it sure as heck avoids a lot of problems later!!!!!
